Tintamarre Island (also known as Île Tintamarre) is a small, uninhabited island located about 3 km off the northeast coast of Saint-Martin in the French Caribbean.
Beautiful, unspoiled white sand beaches
Ideal for relaxing, swimming, and snorkeling
It’s famous for sea turtle sightings, especially green and hawksbill turtles
Also home to colorful tropical fish and coral formations
A regular stop for private sailing tours and catamaran cruises from St. Martin
Offers a wild, natural contrast to the developed main island
A protected nature reserve, part of the French Marine Park
No infrastructure—just raw beauty and occasional iguanas or seabirds
From 1946–1950, it had a short-lived airstrip and was the base of the now-defunct airline Compagnie Aérienne Antillaise
You can still see remains of the old airplane hangar—a quirky twist for explorers
